This is a series of worksheets I used for an EAL beginner/SENchild in my class based on the book 'When Jessie Came Across the Sea' by Amy Hest. The LO for the whole class was to write a description of the storm Jessie faces on the boat to America.

This resource is for EAL children who are very new to English. It uses grids to help them write independently about the trenches in WW1. It covers prepositions and the use of adjectives (colours). I originally made this for a child from Romania. As a result the current translations are in Romanian but this can be changed and edited depending on the language that you need.
